Proposed Code of Regulations Amendments – 2026 Member Vote
The Adams Rural Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees has completed a comprehensive review of the Cooperative's Code of Regulations and recommends a series of amendments for members' consideration.
The Board of Trustees, along with the cooperative’s attorney, carefully evaluated the existing regulations and approved proposed changes to be included on the 2026 election ballot. The goal of the entire assessment was to modernize governance practices, align with current cooperative practices, improve board of trustee qualification standards, enable electronic voting, and to clarify operational authority
These proposed amendments are intended to help position the Cooperative for continued success while ensuring that our governing documents remain relevant, effective, and responsive to our membership's needs.
Official ballots will be mailed to members on June 30, 2026, and must be postmarked and returned no later than July 28, 2026, to be counted.
